In the CÔTE D’AZUR poster Cassandre shows the side view of the ship, his previous shipping posters Normandie and L’atlantique had shown the mighty ships baring down on the onlooker. Here the funnel smoking against a blue sky , lifeboat and air shaft are shown with Cassandre’s use of typography shown in the borders. Rare.
